These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Switch Society's website, membership program, mobile application, and related services (collectively, the "Services") provided by Switch Society, Inc., a Public Benefit Corporation ("Switch Society," "we," "us," or "our"). By accessing our website, creating an account, or purchasing a membership, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
Please read these Terms carefully. If you do not agree, please do not use our Services.
Switch Society membership is available to individuals who are 18 years of age or older. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this requirement and that all information you provide is accurate and complete.
Switch Society offers several membership tiers, each with different monthly point allocations and benefits. Current tier details, pricing, and benefits are described on our membership page at switchsociety.org/membership and on your local location page. Pricing and tier structures are subject to change with reasonable notice to active members.
Memberships are billed on a recurring basis — monthly or annually, depending on the plan you select. By providing your payment information, you authorize Switch Society to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you pause or end your membership. Annual memberships are billed in full at the time of purchase.
Monthly memberships may be subject to a one-time activation fee at the time of sign-up. Annual memberships have the activation fee waived. The current activation fee amount is disclosed at checkout.
Members may pause their membership at any time. We call this "taking a break." To pause your membership, contact us at support@switchsociety.org or manage your account through the member app. Points accumulated prior to a pause are retained and remain available when you return. Points do not expire during a membership pause.
You may end your membership at any time by contacting us at support@switchsociety.org or through your member account. Memberships end at the conclusion of the current billing period. We do not provide refunds for partial billing periods. Annual memberships are non-refundable after the first 7 days from purchase.
Members earn points by contributing quality items to the Switch Society community closet. Items are evaluated by Switch Society staff using a standardized 10-point scoring system based on brand, wearability, and construction quality. A score of 10 represents a brand-new item with original tags attached. Points are awarded at the sole discretion of Switch Society staff based on item evaluation.
Points may be used to take home items from the Switch Society community closet during your membership. Point values for available items are displayed in the member app and at the location. Points may only be used by the member whose account they are associated with and are non-transferable.
Each membership tier includes a monthly point allocation that refreshes on your billing cycle date. Unused monthly allocation points do not roll over to the following month unless otherwise specified in your tier benefits. Points earned by contributing items are separate from monthly allocation points and do not expire as long as your membership is active or paused.
Earned points (from item contributions) do not expire during an active or paused membership. If a membership is permanently ended, any remaining points are forfeited. Switch Society reserves the right to adjust the points system with reasonable notice to members.
All items contributed to the Switch Society community closet must meet our quality standards. Items must be:
Switch Society reserves the right to decline any item that does not meet quality standards. Declined items will be returned to the member or donated with member consent. No points are awarded for declined items.
By contributing an item to Switch Society, you represent that you are the rightful owner of the item and have the right to contribute it. Once an item is accepted into the community closet, it becomes part of the shared inventory and is no longer your personal property. Items contributed to Switch Society are not returnable.
Switch Society is a community built on trust, respect, and shared values. By becoming a member, you agree to:
Switch Society reserves the right to suspend or terminate the membership of any member who violates these conduct standards, with or without prior notice, at our sole discretion. No refund will be issued for memberships terminated due to conduct violations.
