Over 70,000 Pieces Given Away: Why We Host the Family Swap

Some of my favorite days at Switch Society aren’t about membership at all.

One of them is the Family Swap. It’s free, and so far it has given away over 70,000 pieces.

Why a free swap matters

I built Switch around a simple question: what if clothing were free? The Family Swap is the most literal answer to that question we have.

Families go through clothes fast. Kids grow. Seasons change. Jobs change. Fashion carries a financial cost, an emotional cost and an environmental cost, and families feel all three. A free community swap takes some of that weight off.

How it fits the bigger picture

Membership is how Switch keeps a shared wardrobe full and moving every day. The Family Swap is how we share that abundance with the whole community.

Both come from the same belief: clothing should keep moving to the next person who’ll love it, instead of sitting in a closet or ending up in a landfill. That’s the Free Fashion Revolution, and it’s why access over ownership matters.
